Now that the dust has finally settled (literally!), it was time to clean up our furbabies! I didn’t like touching them and feeling dust in their fur because I didn’t like to think about what they must be licking off themselves and putting into their bodies. Periodically brushing and wiping just didn’t seem to be enough to me, so once all the hard labor was over, we cleaned their little bodies from top to bottom! We used waterless shampoo and brushed it through their fur, used ear and eye wipes, and used body and paw wipes. Basia was the crankiest, and I believe that was because her arthritis was bothering her, even though we were being as gentle as we could be! Eva loved the brushing which didn’t surprise us, and Lulu tolerated things better as soon as she was placed in my lap! And Pacey and Sam were both fine. Unfortunately, I didn’t take any photos when Mark wiped down the beagle. I was hurting way too much by then to play furtographer. Now they are all fresh as little daisies and hopefully not too poorly impacted from all that they had to deal with! And we’ve definitely learned some lessons should such a thing happen again: send our furniture away and send us to a pet-friendly hotel!
