Evenflo’s Johnny Jump Up product review

July 25, 2013 | Comments Off

With this particular review, I strayed from doing my normal pet-related reviews to doing one for the sweet little girl I sometimes babysit for. Evenflo sent over their popular Johnny Jump Up, a portable baby exerciser, for Baby S just about a year ago. Baby S has been taking her sweet time learning to do things, so she just got the hang of using this at around 10.5 months of age. The Johnny Jump Up is the perfect answer to portable learning and playtime fun. It helps babies with three important developmental milestones: gross motor skills, cause and effect, and balance and coordination. It has a bright, colorful frog print seat pad that removes easily and is machine washable, a sturdy door frame clamp that provides a secure fit to interior doorways, and adjustable straps that allow you to size and adjust the Johnny Jump Up to accommodate a baby’s changing height and weight as well as a particular doorway’s dimensions. It can be purchased at Target, Walmart, and Amazon.

Here’s a video where I take a quick look at the Johnny Jump Up:

And here are some photos of Mark putting it up:

The verdict? Baby S has been in no rush to grow up which has been fine by me, but that also means that it took her a lot longer than I originally thought it would for her to enjoy the Johnny Jump Up. She cried whenever we put her in it up until she hit around 10.5 months – and then she just went bananas for it! I think the videos show how she’s still a little off with her coordination skills, but she’ll eventually get the hang of it as she spends more time in it. I knew it wouldn’t be much longer once she started bouncing around on the bed to music, and I was right! She looks so cute jumping that I could just watch her all day in it. I also get her to lift her little chubby legs up so that I can swing her back and forth in it as well! FYI – Evenflo has a bunch of other great baby products, like exersaucers, car seats, high chairs (which I need!), strollers, and gates. If you purchase this product or any of their products, please let me know what you think!

(Full disclosure – Evenflo provided this item to us free of charge in exchange for a product review. Thanks!)
